Fill Inn Station In Chippewa Falls: Closing & Reviews - What You Need To Know

Dalbo

Is it possible for a single establishment to embody the heart of a community, serving not just food and drink, but also memories and milestones? The Fill Inn Station in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, a local institution for 46 years, certainly seemed to achieve that, but now it's preparing to close its doors.

The Fill Inn Station, nestled in the heart of downtown Chippewa Falls, at 104 W Columbia St, was more than just a restaurant; it was a landmark. Open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, it offered a diverse menu of classic bar food and delicious cocktails, catering to a wide array of tastes. From its cozy, welcoming atmosphere to its friendly staff, The Fill Inn Station provided a homey experience for all who walked through its doors. The restaurants charm stemmed not just from its food, which, according to diners, was a satisfying experience - You fill up and head out, as one patron aptly put it - but from the history that permeated its walls. Established in March of 1979, The Fill Inn Station was born from the Horstman family's purchase and remodeling of the old Blue Diamond gas station. The remnants of that past were still visible, with original brick pillars from the garage and even a monkey wrench adorning the front bar door, serving as silent testaments to the passage of time.

The restaurant has facilities that can accommodate more than 150 people and hosts weddings, parties, anniversaries and birthday events.
