On November 23, 1933, a new chapter began. Reverend Chester L. Smallwood, along with a small group of dedicated individuals, established the New Hope Baptist Mission. The mission, rooted in the Baptist faith, quickly took shape. Following Reverend Smallwood's appointment as pastor and the election of church officers, the first service was held on Thanksgiving night, November 26, 1933. The basement of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Cincinnati, served as the mission's initial sanctuary. The commitment to Christ grew from the start, as the church progressed forward.

Over the years, "Greater New Hope" has become a familiar name in several cities. One such is the Greater New Hope Baptist Church of East Saint Louis, Illinois, where the mission is dedicated to the core principle of winning souls for Christ, in addition to the church's choir, the Baptist Training Unit (BTU). With the mission to show the importance of faith.

In June 2005, Pastor Brown earned a Ph.D. in Theology from Wilshire University in the United Kingdom. His work here has seen many people take their first steps in faith.

Under the leadership of Hamilton, the church was renamed "Greater New Hope Baptist Church," reflecting a renewed vision and commitment to growth. Further expansion was realized when the church moved from its downtown location on 5th Street, NW, to its current location at 816 8th Street, NW.

The Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe, Louisiana, continues this legacy of faith. Located at 339 North Sierra Street, in Reno, Nevada (near Wingfield Park), the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, organized in 1955 by Reverend Arthur Roberts, alongside his wife Leatrice, and sister P.B. Its the house of hope, a church for all, striving to strengthen the community through the teachings of Jesus.

The Greater New Hope Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a member of the greater Little Rock Baptist Pastoral and Ministers Conference. In September 2007, Reverend Bennett started his ministry at the church. Bennett fully embraces the Bible as the true word of God.
